I have had the pleasure of working at the University of Oregon for the past four years in the Nurse Specialty Clinic as a staff nurse, and now as the Lead Nurse.
I enjoy interacting with our diverse student population. I welcome the daily opportunity to help educate our students on making healthy lifestyle choices. I think the thing I love the best is teaching our students to be in tuned to the subtle signs that their bodies are sending them and to not ignore those clues. Patients know their bodies better than we do, so paying close attention to little changes now may help to prevent a major illness down the road.

Coming from a large California city I enjoy working with our diverse student population, hearing where their education is taking them and being able to have health teaching moments during our clinical interactions. My husband and I moved our family to Oregon in 1990. We have a 28 acre family farm where we raise sheep, hay and a variety of fruits. I enjoy gardening, camping, having my kids, grandkids and parents close and Sunday family dinners. I miss the beaches of California but the lack of traffic and quite of the farm is great.
