PRESCRIPTION COVERAGE

Students receive the best prescription benefit when prescriptions are filled at the Health Center Pharmacy.

Eligible prescriptions are covered at 70% of the cost if filled at the Health Center Pharmacy. Each prescription or refill will be limited to a 30-day supply or 100-count quantity.

Benefit is reduced to 50% of the reasonable charge (as determined by the insurance company) and paid after the deductible is met if a prescription is filled at an outside pharmacy.

Over-the-counter medications are not covered.

Contact the Health Center Pharmacy at 541-346-4454 about transferring your prescriptions from an outside pharmacy.

PSYCHOTHERAPEUTIC & ADD MEDICATIONS

There is an annual $1,000 maximum for psychotherapeutic & ADD medications. The annual $1,000 maximum also includes expenses for mental health counseling.

OUTSIDE PHARMACIES

Students should use the Health Center Pharmacy whenever possible. If you must fill a prescription at an outside pharmacy, you will need to pay cash. Outside pharmacies CANNOT bill the student health insurance for your prescription. You will need to provide the Health Insurance Office with the receipts from the pharmacy in order to be reimbursed. Benefit is reduced to 50% of the reasonable charge (as determined by the insurance company) and paid after the deductible is met.

STUDENT DEPENDENTS are not eligible to use the Health Center Pharmacy. Dependents need to pay cash for the prescriptions. You will need to provide the Health Insurance Office with the receipts from the pharmacy in order to be reimbursed. Prescriptions will be covered at 50% of the reasonable charge (as determined by the insurance company) and paid after the deductible is met.

PLAN AHEAD FOR SCHOOL BREAKS and get a supply of your prescriptions.  

The Health Center closes:

• 2-3 weeks for winter holiday break
• 1 week for spring break
• 1-2 weeks prior to beginning Fall Term

SUMMER SUPPLY OF PRESCRIPTIONS

If you will be leaving the Eugene area for summer, contact the Health Insurance Office before the end of Spring Term/Semester to find out how to arrange for a supply of your regular prescriptions over the summer.
