INFLUENZA VACCINE AVAILABILITY 2005-2006The University Health Center is out of flu vaccine (except for a few doses for high risk students) but we have lots of Flu Mist. We have dropped the price of the Flu Mist to $13.00 from $26.00. The Flu Mist is appropriate for the healthy individuals under the age of 50, with no chronic illness or pregnancy, and is available in Area C of the University Health Center. Faculty and staff should bring their UO and Blue Cross cards. The University Health Center will close on December 13th and will not reopen until January 9th. The cost of the vaccine for those Faculty, Staff, and eligible dependants who do not have Blue Cross coverage is $28.00. We do not bill medicare. Students may come Monday through Friday from 9-4 PM. (Closed Dec 13-Jan 8) in the Nurse Specialty Clinic, Area C of the UHC. The cost of Flu shots for students is $13.00 and can be billed to their student account. The cost for students is $13.00 and can be billed to their university account. Flu Mist (live intranasal vaccine) is also available for Healthy Individuals under 50 years of age. The cost is $26.00. We cannot bill Blue Cross and may not be covered by other insurance. We strongly recommend that you call the Flu line at 346-4444 just before you come in for your vaccination to check on vaccine availability. We will also keep this web site updated. will also be holding flu clinics beginning October 19th at locations throughout Lane County. If you go to Lane County Public Health, be sure to take your Medicare card if you have one. The UO Health Center cannot bill Medicare. |
