STOMACH FLU ALERT

The "stomach flu," also known as viral gastroenteritis, is currently making the rounds on campus, causing nausea, vomiting, stomach cramps, and diarrhea. Gastroenteritis is spread person to person or through contaminated objects, food or water. Most infections resolve on their own, and self-care involves adequate fluid intake to prevent dehydration and sometimes medications for symptom relief. You can prevent the spread of infection with good hygiene -- washing hands frequently and avoiding the sharing of food, drink, and utensils. Call us if you have questions or need any assistance.

Duck the Flu!

2011 Combo Seasonal/H1N1 flu shots (2 vaccines in 1 shot) are available at the Health Center beginning September 20, 2011. Click here for more information.
